Yeah I still can’t upload .png images either. Guess I’ll just have to wait ??

If it’s not a quick fix please upload the last functional version as if it were a new version so we can all easily get back to business.

(and yeah, I use .png so that sounds right)

Is there any way to roll back to the last version? Or for them to somehow make it available until this is fixed?

I tried both disabling all plugins and changing to a default theme. Still having the issue. I don’t know what to do, this completely prevents me from updating my site.

I’m getting the same problem. I updated NextGen and it was broken. I realized afterward that WordPress needed an update, but that didn’t fix it either. I have no idea what to do :/

Checked, my site is still on 5.3. I see an option to update to 7.1, any reason not to do that?

It broke my website, was getting 500 internal service error. Having tech support remove the plugin to fix the site :/

Well it seems to be working with the update I installed today. There is no actual thumbnail, but the gallery is added. Thank you!

Ummm I never got back to doing the bug report. However, I was editing an old post and noticed that the preview was working. The text/code that was used in the old posts, though, was totally different.

As opposed to what I shared above. I’m assuming the shift in formats is what “broke” the galleries in the visual preview, then?

I tried clearing my browser cache, and I tried deactivating all my plugins except NextGen and Updraftplus. Still the same issue.

I’m getting by, though, because if the post editor is in “text” mode it works and inserts the code eg:

If I have the editor in “visual” mode, though, it’s a blank object that is inserted and if I switch to text all that’s listed is “[]”

I’d like to get you my server info but I’m not sure how. I tried some method I saw online but it didn’t seem to work.
