I am doing this and it seems to work, but ads are being displayed on posts from a custom post type are showing. Any idea how to get rid of this?

Ive added all my custom post type posts to a wp core category. Yet they are still showing.

Exclude filters DO work.

Thanks, resaving the permalinks helped.
