Apparently not. It seems that we will have to disable total cache to make changes via ftp which is very odd. I will check this periodically incase someone has an answer one day.
Sorry i was just depressed at the thought of being like the rest of the unanswered posts which may be completely ignored forever. I understand this is a volunteer board but I thought it was support until you posted. I will go elsewhere. Thanks ??
