I started reading how to create a child theme/directory…. not happening! Way over my head.

Also, I’m inside functions.php from the parent theme directory. When I run a find in text edit for “get_avatar_url()” it finds nothing. I’m downloading Dreamweaver now to look for line 914. Thanks.

I have no child theme directory… suggestions? Many thanks!

Ok. If I edit functions.php will I need to do that every time I update?

Hey thanks! Logically that makes sense. But…
1. Why is theme with two of the same functions? It’s a popular theme. And why wasn’t this a problem before? I’ll be hesitant to update WP in the future

2. Are you suggesting I go into some file (which?) and manually delete a line of code? I could manage that. But what are the future ramifications. I don’t tinker with my site. I like it “stock” and simple!
