Hi,

I’ve gone into phpMyAdmin and can see wp_usermeta, but can’t see the apple_news_notice. Any suggestions of how else I can get rid of all these?

That works, but for some reason it’s always expanded, never collapsed. I’m using this for mobile only, which is the need to use this. So the whole thing is within a hidden div, which only shows when the viewport is of a certain size.

I have it working fine if I actually put text in there. But the moment I put PHP code in, it breaks.

Thanks for the response, and can I say this plugin is excellent!

Ideally I want to change some of the text from frontend/write.php, including:

>> Write a new entry.
Guestbook entry

I also want to remove the * from the required fields.

ALSO: Another request, in the widget can you ask it to show a random entry, rather than the latest?

It does make sense, though then you lose the functionality of quick adding.

So if I come across a film that uses a director for the first time, then I have to go to categories, add the category and then go back to the post. So not as easy as tags or custom fields.

I suppose the only issue then is pulling out relevant tags in relevant places? So I could tag something: 1989, Spielberg

However, in my template I’d want it to say:

Released: 1989
Director: Spielberg

Am I right in saying that would be a problem?

Thanks for your response. There will be quite a few. I basically want to create a catalogue (there may well be plugins out there ready to handle this).

So let’s say I want to track all my favourite films that I’ve seen, I may want to put a release date with each one and that be linked, so quickly I could see all movies from 1989. Then also list the director for each movie, so you could then see all Spielberg movies at once.

I’ve installed ACF. Would this be able to achieve this?
