Yes all fixed! My week long headache is over!

I don’t know if ClamAV released the update yet, they claim every 4 hours, however I’m still seeing the same PUA show up in my cache files – and only cache files.

I tweeted this issue and thread to ClamAV and they replied: “has been removed, should push in the next update.”…lets hope that the next update is immediate.

I’ve tweeted to Hostgator, Automattic, and ZenCache about this. I also reported it to clamav.
This is really bad, as a result of all this now Adsense had stopped displaying on one of my sites, and nothing is working to bring it back..AGH!!!!!

I’m having this problem too and am following the updates to the thread closely. I too contacted hostgator (I’m US based but use hostgator.in for my India based site) and their support did not want to “disable detect pua” as someone suggested, instead they were asking me to:

“download these infected files to your local system and clear the virus and upload the fresh copy of the files “

I am very much a novice, I don’t know how to do that, but that solution didn’t smell right to me based on what I’m reading here. I too deleted Super Cache, replaced with Total Cache, which was then replaced with Zen Cache, and all have the same recurring PUA.

I don’t know what to do, I’m constantly virus scanning and unblocking my port every couple days. Here’s to hoping one of you guys figures this out so we can be done with this headache.

Thanks,I do have the current version, 1.7.4 but the problem still persists if I keep it activated. I’ve checked their own WP-insert support page and it says I need to log in via FTP and delete the folder and install fresh, but if I do that I’m guessing I’ll lose my settings for it. I’ll try to find them, copy and paste my ad code and see how it goes.

Thanks for this, I tried it and it worked. Unfortunately the offending Widget was WP-Insert, so I’ll have to live with an incomplete dashboard if I want to continue to make money! Hope they fix the widget soon.
