Were you able to get the plugin to work? I had a problem too, but it all worked fine after I deactivated all other plugins. I haven’t tested to see which of my plugins were conflicting. It wasn’t necessary for me at the time. Just to get it all to work was the goal.

Thanks – After entering the code, the Preview came back beautifully. It actually converted the HTML as regular text – bolding where the “<b>” tags were and changing the styles where the “<span style>” tags were. But, when exporting and opening the .xlsx file in LibreOffice, it still showed the HTML tags.

Any thoughts?

I found a way to search/find/replace html tags in LibreOffice. So, if a php custom code doesn’t work, I have this as a back up. It just adds an extra step and time to the process that’s already too long.

In case anyone else out there comes across this, try deleting the quotation marks around the URL, in the shortcode href=”” section, and replace them with new quotation marks. It seems, for me, these quotations are showing up as apostrophes or tick marks, rather than quotes. Once I did this, it resolve the link issue.

Yes, we see the short description only once, when viewing the product page.

First attempt of putting the code in and pressing the “Preview” button, the following message returned:

string(372) “Customized Volvo TechTips – Summer 2018 Issue Volvo dealers enrolled in the Wholesale Marketing program are entitled to 50 customized issues free of charge. If you are interested in growing your wholesale parts business, and you are not enrolled in the Wholesale Marketing Program, you can still order customized issues; the net cost is $8 per copy. ” debug

This was weird, as it refers to a product that wasn’t causing a problem of repeating short descriptions in the export file.

At first, I thought the “(372)” was product number related. But, the product listed, has a different number. But, after reviewing the product, there were multiple, empty <div></div> tags in the short description.

After removing these tags, and previewing the test again, I get the following message:

I should have mentioned that I did try that, too…. even with Admin FTP access, I get a “you don’t have permission” error. I’ll contact the host to see what they can do.

Interestingly enough: I have two different wordpress sites, both using WP4.0, but only one has the “store uploads in this folder” option in the media settings. Any thoughts on what that’s all about??

Thanks Shayne. I’ve been told it’s better practice to not use the media uploader; I think in regards to SEO (?). And, it presented a better URL designation for the image, rather than lengthy drill downs through the WP folders… Perhaps I’m missing a simple process that would make it all easier…?

installation error resolved – had to change themes, just to get it to reinstall. But, still doesn’t seem to be working right- –can we get access to previous versions?

@esmi: Wasn’t trying to be impolite. I wanted to follow this issue, as I have the same problem. I don’t know how to do that without adding a post.
