I just found out that i have to change the menu links somehow to add the offset.

I use Generate press pro and Elementor.

you are correct with your guess about the sections,
i will give up this approach for now since i cannot use javascript well and there is so much other stuff to do on the page^^.

since I think there has to be code somewhere between the <Section> container and the first <div>(column) container written by the elementor plugin at least I could try here first.
