I would be interested in this, too.
Hi mbrsolution,
I’ve enabled the Honeypot feature and enabled Pingback protection.
Also I’ve applied the Login Whitelist feature temporarily on the attacked websites, which isn’t ideal in long term.
However, this seems to be working for now as there were no records of further brute force attacks on the login page – hurray! Fingers crossed it will stay like this.
I will keep an eye on it and keep you updated!
Thank you for your patience and support on this!
Thanks for the quick response – I appreciate it.
Not sure what the problem was but I deleted the plugin and reinstalled it and it sends out verification emails to the newly registered email addresses.
Nevertheless, after clicking on the activation link and successfully loading the page, it still lists the user under “Users with unconfirmed email address”. It does not send out confirmation emails to the user and the login still is not working.
I have to manually confirm their email via the admin panel, which kills the purpose or the sign up process.
Tried deactivating all plugins and the problem still persists.
Any input is greatly appreciated ??I have the same issue.
Has someone found a solution, or why is this marked as resolved?
