Thank you – I checked it out and it can be useful. I also saw that there is a multilingual press which create a network of sites. Do you think I need that? As explained at the beginning I would like to have a link on the menu called “Languages” where it opens a drop-down menu with all the language supported. When an end-users click on any of them, the site will redirect him to the index with that particular language. What’s the best way to do that?

Xili is useful to keep all the pages organized. Right? How can I achieve the first thing above?

I am fine with the back up of my hosting provider but take extra safe step is never wrong. What do you mean by “only site files”?

No it never worked. As said, I use an external FTP to upload plugin and theme.

Which files should I back up? By the way I have a back up on my server so it should not be a problem though.

I was referring to the FTP embedded into WP. I use an external FTP – That’s why I was asking about how I can update manually without loosing the work.

Also, I am not sure if the online update works as I assume it will use FTP which does not work for some reason. In case I want to update manually, what should I do?

To back up, Would a copy of all folder be enough? I have daily and weekly back up with my hosting provider. Should that be enough?

Twenty-eleven should be activated. No I have not tried to reinstall WP. I am using not the last release so it would be also worth it for another purpose. Would you be so kind as to list step by step what I should do without loosing all the work done so far?

Do you have the link where I can download the plugin from? So I assume there is a list of language I can select so wp will only display pages in that langues. Is that correct?

Also because I will have different index I guess, should I create different folder in my root? what do you suggest? The scenario is the following:
– End-user to to mypage.com.
– There is a link on right hand side which I called “languages”. The page will show the different languages supported.
– By clicking on the language, it will redirect the user to the index page in the selected language.

please advice.
