@Sybre, please in the next version of your plugin, include an option to EXCLUDE some page(s). Like other SEO plugins do.

Please. Trying to be compatible with all other plugins, isn’t gonna lead anywhere.

(i dont want to add anything to my functions.php files. Exclude whatever we want is the correct way to do this)

Don’t run two caching plugins at once. IMHO.

If you don’t need some extra/special features of WP Super cache, like preload of the site etc, i would suggest to run LiteSpeed Cache.

Also make sure you don’t run any plugin that doesn’t “refresh” well with LiteSpeed. Of cource the same goes for WPSC, some plugins are not supported.

Disable WPSC for a while and try LiteSpeed, it doesn’t hurt. And see for yourself if you like it.

For me, it seems that WP sites with a lot of traffic will benefit from Litespeed Cache most, while small sites with little traffic will do better with classic php page caching plugins (with a big TTL).

I;’m afraid Canonicals are not the only problem with wpForo.

Page titles are also not correct. I’m a bit lost on that to do.

It is the same for many plugins. For example take a Caching Plugin, one of the popular and good ones.

Some other plugins don’t hook correctly or at all. Trying to make everything to work with (almost) everything is hard. We understand that. Also we totally understand the need to make a living….. We do.

The guys at wpForo seem a bit “closed” when it comes to other plugins/devs.

Sybre, can i at least totally disable canonicals everywhere (until a solution is found) ?

A meaningfull timestamp that is. Like when the cached file was created and also when it will expire. That would cover everything i guess.

This is what i mean. The caching works but the base page and the rest forums/post are not refreshed when something happen (new post/edit post/delete post).

For now i have disabled caching for those pages.

Thanks for the information. Yes, it is surprise so many plugins clear the home page (and who knows what else).

Some of them totally irelevent with posts etc etc, like the so popular plugin POSTMAN (and email plugin).

We would never know all that if we didn’t install the small debug code you provided.
