I just want something that makes it easy managing images and galleries and inserting galleries into posts. I know Nextgen is a bit overkill for this purpose but haven’t really found an alternative yet (didn’t take the time to really look for one either I must admit).

How it displays on the front end should be totally up to me to decide. Say, a nextgen gallery light.

No go on the disabling scripts stuff then?

I would suggest making older versions more readily available and providing downgrade instructions given all the problems that may occur …

Rather late reply, but:

The duplication issue might be related to the use of WPML. Have not tested it though, just a guess.

The lack of customization possibilities still make it not worth for me …

But if you are looking for plugin that is professionally made, much tested and has a quick support service, then our product is differently what you need!!!

Anyone also still having problems with search results pagination and/or search in the non-default language in combination with qtranslate-slug?

I can either get pagination to work or serach in another language but not both at the same time. Solution are posted in the above thread and are as follows. One of them should be resolved according to the author with version 1.1 but for me it isn’t.

One solution says replace some code with:

if ( isset( $wp->matched_query ) && ! isset( $query[‘s’] ) )

The other says insert this:

if(isset($query[‘s’])){
return array(‘s’ => $query[‘s’]);
}

Both solutions go in the same function, the one right after the other and obviously are not compatible with each other. My PHP knowledge is not sufficient to figure this one out.

It’s one of the last things I need to resolve before publishing so any help is greatly appreciated.

For anyone interested: I ended up using the colorbox plugin with nextGEN gallery which has a slideshow option.
