Thanks for the replies everyone.
I’m running a Linux platform, and I’ve followed everything that the Codex has given instruction to do (including other GoDaddy installation problem posts), even changing my local host name to the one provided when I created my database.
Update:
As per suggestion of GoDaddy phone dude (I think that’s the technical term for it), we upgraded to the deluxe package and still no love. Right now, I’m getting this message:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_IS_IDENTICAL, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /home/content/r/a/i/rainking/html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 272
I’ve tried uploading to the root folder, subfolders, deleting, then starting fresh, and I even created a new database to try and solve it.
Has anyone seen the above error message before?
I’m doing this for a friend of mine, and switching hosts isn’t something he’s really thrilled about doing.
All of your help is much appreciated.
