I regret not giving more details about allimport as it enabled you to do a nice big body swerve! My fault – what I should have said is that the settings in the import were for ‘sold individually’ set to ‘No’

As all 700 products have ‘sold individually’ set to ‘Yes’ contrary to the setting in the plugin then my next step was to reach out to you guys to see if there was any reason why woocommerce would have ‘sold individually’ as ‘yes’ set as a default and if so, how I over-ride this.

Hi Mike – thanks for coming back to me. You;re right I did figure it out in the end – trial and error – but I got there.

Buried deep in the google search responses I found a reference to an ‘issue’ with the tax rate settings. In the current live site the tax is set to ‘shop base’ and the tax settings for standard (i.e. the one the shop uses) has the country, postcode AND city fields filled in. The answer I found suggested setting the postcode and city to a wildcard. I did this on my development site and it worked.

A bit random but problem solved!

Hi Karen – thanks for coming back to me.

As it happens the problem was nothing to do with OGTs – despite me blaming them! It suddenly dawned on me that the duplicate ‘snippets’ were actually the post excerpts. Under screen options you can toggle excerpts on / off (tnhough why you would want this function heaven only knows!). In this case they had been switched off so blog editors weren’t seeing them and not creating new ones. All fixed now.

I am not and never have been running the separate woocomm admin plugin

I have had to delete the plug in – it was a total nightmare – alterations weren’t appearing, I couldn’t disable it (even when checking ‘never’ and, as you already know users couldn’t hide it so once it was triggered they coulodn’t access the site.

I appreciate that this is just me as you have thousands of installs.

Real shame as it looks like a nice piece of kit
