The majority of my images reside in a folder I created .a which do not run through /wp-content/uploads.

Could this be why?

No. I either get the same featured image for 300 posts or nothing. I require the 1st image in each post being selected.

im on WP 4 btw

Ok i have selected an image?. I’m not seeing your option3 ‘overwrite exisiting featured anywhere….is there a screengrab of where this is

Basically Im interested in ammending Posts that exist. I’d like to make a bulk change (350 posts) which in the main have no current featured image.
Can you help with this?

Hi Martin,
I’m coming in at the same stage Emily initially did.

My site has 350 existing posts 80% without a featured image. All the images are within my site at martincrombie.co.uk.
I require the 1st image in each post to populate featured image.

So when I go to ‘Set, replace remove’ I selected radio button ‘Set the first post image as featured image. So far so good.
Next> Add filter > Not required straight to next
On the preview page it says ‘350 matches found’ but no images are present apart from the 20% featured images previously done manually.
I tried the confirm the change but nothing was ammended.
Am i missing something? Many thanks

Had to delete an entire wordpress website for pressing 1 wrong button.

Not made any difference.
Should I do a fresh install & delete all the WordPress files?

This was the code in there if this looks ok?

from

in the settings panel (didnt read the red warning text)

I may have just killed my site.Im getting an Internal Server Error in my ADMIN :-0
