As I said before I am not sure when it happend and I tried to turn all plugins off.

My wordpress is a fresh installation and running for only a week now.

I have the same problem here. Categories disappeared from left admin menu and from post editation as well. Screenshots: https://cl.ly/Iy0X/o and https://cl.ly/IxUN. Categories are still present and operate normally. The just dissapeared from admin.

I ma not sure when this happened. I tried to deactivate all plugins but that not helped at all.

I was running wordpress 3.0. Then I have installed clean version 3.4.1 and import export everything via wordpress importer.

Same problem here! Have you figured out how to fix it?
