In reply to: [EWWW Image Optimizer] Optimize WP-retina imagesHi,
Sorry, I was very busy this week but I just installed the update and it seems to be working perfectly. All retina images are optimized immediately.
Thanks!

In reply to: [EWWW Image Optimizer] Optimize WP-retina imagesI’m not really sure I’m following you in the first two alinea’s. The way I see it the retina plugin does not optimize the images, at least not to it’s full potential, since all retina images I uploaded (that were derived from the original) before yesterday were by on average 10 percent by your plugin. The quality can be set by the retina plugin, but they are not optimized.
I might be misunderstanding what you said, but anyway.. I hope you find a way so all of the images are automatically optimized ??
Thank again.

In reply to: [EWWW Image Optimizer] Optimize WP-retina imagesOf course. Hereby two images I uploaded and after that send through the bulk optimization.

https://i61.tinypic.com/2hgcncj.pngAs you can see, specific versions of the retina image are not optimized on upload. Unfortunately these are the versions that are used in our posts.

In reply to: [EWWW Image Optimizer] Optimize WP-retina imagesOne last question; with new images the retina ones should be optimized directly after uploading, right? Well.. I see that unfortunately this is not happing for all retina versions. When I check (scan and optimize more) after uploading a new image, it still needs to optimize some of the retina images.
What can I do about this?

In reply to: [EWWW Image Optimizer] Optimize WP-retina imagesIt’s working! Thanks for your perfect explanation. It was indeed the large amount of images so breaking it up made the scan go faster and showed me it works. Thanks again.

In reply to: [EWWW Image Optimizer] Optimize WP-retina imagesAlso with bulk optimalization the retina images are ignored.

In reply to: [EWWW Image Optimizer] Optimize WP-retina imagesI think it was a misunderstanding. With this option the other folders (images that are not in the library) are scanned and images in there are optimized. My retina images are in the uploads folder, next to the normal images.
When I optimize one image (via the media library), all versions except the retina ones are optimized.

In reply to: [EWWW Image Optimizer] Optimize WP-retina imagesThanks, found it. How long does that scanning take? ?? It’s already working on it for 1,5h.

In reply to: [EWWW Image Optimizer] Optimize WP-retina imagesThanks for your answer, but where do I find the ‘Optimize more’ function? I use the Dutch translation and cannot see a similar function on the Bulk page.
I ran the import proces (did not bulk optimize yet), and added the folder in the settings.
Thanks

In reply to: [Subscribe To Comments Reloaded] Wrong language selectedThat sounds like a good explanation ?? Thanks! Hope the update arrives soon.
Ok, thanks for your help. I’ll try to find a way to check it in IE en let you know here.
Yeah, I read that Chrome is totally not ready for hdpi on Windows but IE should be. That browser should also be showing retina-images, if available. Is it also because of this “1” ratio that IE does not show them?
It says “1” but I don’t understand why, looking at the ppi ??
