I installed the addition function in function.php.
Now the slides always go in the same sense – same way – (no return back); but I have always some quick transitions at high speed that are not pleasant at all. How can I do so that the motion of the slides or the frames (what is the right word) is regular – the same – at each change ? And a moderate speed ? It is for me the main default of this plugin; elsewhere, it is good.
Please note also that between these two advanced settings: autoplay (in french: lecture auto) that is “on” and image crop (in french: recadrage image) that is set to “smart” (in french : intelligent), I have not the setting “loop” (in french: boucle) that must be set to “continuously” so I cannot set this setting
Thank you for your help. Denis

In reply to: [Classic Editor] Classic Editor and PHP 8The response I gave is available in my context of the use of roles. In other contexts, I do not know

In reply to: [Classic Editor] Classic Editor and PHP 8My fatal error is corrected and classic editor runs now with POHP 8.1. There are always warning and “deprecated”. The problem is that I have roles in my members. Somme roles were corrupted. I have to delete them and rebuild them and I use the plugin . Below the process that I was given by a developer of the plugin Wicked folders, and I thank him very much for his help.
- Install and activate PublishPress Capabilities plugin
- In your WordPress admin, go to Capabilities > Capabilities
- In the roles dropdown near the upper-left area of the screen, select the first role
- Click the Save Changes button
- Repeat this for all roles (i.e. select a role and then click Save Changes)
- Once you’ve saved all roles, you can deactivate the PublishPress Capabilities plugin
Yes, I would like the return to happen more slowly or the scrolling continue in the other way: frame n to frame (n-1) etc… . It could be also display the pictures so that they scroll one by one. The problem is that this return to the 1st picture is unsightly; not nice to see. Regards
Fir this issue, I fixed by this way
- deactivate the plugin (but I do not delete it; it remains with its configuration)
- activate it again: the configuration is recovered
- The plugin then runs properly. For my point of view, something wrong happens in the server or the plugin that is so cleaned; but I do not see anything more.

In reply to: [Wicked Folders] This plugin with PHP8Thank you for resolving this issue
It is solved
I had seen this fatal error in the log file but I did not know what to do and gave the information to Elegant Theme (the theme divi)
I have a question
You fixed the issue in the site: https://new.choeurpolycantus.fr, that is a test site
The production site is https://choeurpolycantus.fr
I must check if the issue exists also with the production site
If it exists in the production test, can I fix it and what is the way for me to have this issue fixed ?Because of an event in April, I currently do not do any migration in the production site.

In reply to: [Wicked Folders] This plugin with PHP8I think that there is a problem of compliance between WordPress and PHP8. So I wait for future version of WordPress. My web-host does not manage WordPress, he will not do anything for WordPress. He manages only the web environment = LINUX, Apache, PHP, MySQL (but not its contents). It is not normal that I cannot be in debug mode; I get errors and I am stopped and these errors point to the commandes of debug in wp-admin.php. And I cannot attach to this message the error messages. What can it be done for that ? Denis

In reply to: [Wicked Folders] This plugin with PHP8When you want to enable debugging in WordPress, you must add approximatevely these instructions at the end of wp-admin.php
/** define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true); **
define( ‘ET_DEBUG’, true);
/** define( ‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true);
define( ‘WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY’, true);
define( ‘SCRIPT_DEBUG’, true);
**/I must comment these instructions; if they are active, I cannot enter the dashboard. The problem of PHP 8 is great, and I am not an expert to test this. I am a volunteer chorist in an association

In reply to: [Wicked Folders] This plugin with PHP8I have done again the things
- deactivate all the plugins (except wicked folders)
- switch to Theme 23
- Nothing
- If I come back to PHP 7.4, it is OK
- For me, it is a problem of PHP

In reply to: [Wicked Folders] This plugin with PHP8I have taken a screenshot; but I do not see where I can attach a file; thank you to tell me how I can send the screenshot to you
I had an error like “strange error”. I deactivated the plugin: this did not remove the configuration. I activated it again. And then, it ran fine (normally).

In reply to: [Wicked Folders] This plugin with PHP8I disabled all the plugings: nothing solved, the tree of folders is not displayed. If I come back to PHP 7.4, everything is OK, other things too. There is a real problem with PHP 8. My theme is Divi, my version 6.1.1 and there are issues. The existing pages and posts are displayed, it is good. I can log roles. But there are troubles to edit/modify new pages and posts and the debug mode cannot only be installed elsewhere no access to the dashboard. Currently, I escalated things to Elegant Themes.

In reply to: [Wicked Folders] This plugin with PHP8I cannot say the plugin does not run; but left column remains always blank and empty. No tree of the folders : is it normal ?
I have a subdomain with a replication of the site for test: https;//dev.choeurpolycantus.fr. Both (the main site and the “dev” site) use WordPress 6.0.3 and have the plugin. The plugin works fine with the “dev” site and does not work fine with the main site. Denis
