Ah thanks. Debug mode is off so those errors are now gone. I’ll see if they come out with updates or just remove those plugins as I use akismit for my spamm protection.

Thisis very strange. I reinstalled wordpress due to some other issue, somethign that broke while I was away at achool and I now can’t get it to reproduce. I am still going to try though as if this ever happens again whilst out inthe field it will be more stress for me to clean up later lol!

I actually did those steps first and it did not work. I reinstalled wp, reconnected to the same data base and with dream hosts help I’m now back up and running with all posts and plugins settings saved.

I have no clue what happened though. I’d love to know. how not to have this happen again especially since I was gone when what ever broke broke.

No but when it happened before I was using twentytwelv and it still happened. Will repost the debug log once i run this test.

It set the email for plain text as draft which it should have, how ever the html one went out as public which it should not have. I can’t remember if the de bug log puts the subject of the posts in there as well but just in case I tried to make it very clear what was what.

Well, I followed the dorections and my config.php is edited but the debug log I had to create, change the permissions then watch as the bite count stayed at 0. and I sent 4 or 5 test posts to my blog.

I’ll try again later I guess or wait for the process to take effect and update itself.

Thanks goodness for apple mail’s resend function. sill do that asap. Sorry for the delay in reply I was asleep. lol!

Ok. even disabling all of my plugins I set the text type to heml and sent a test as a plain text from my mail client and a test html mode in my mail client. the text one as it shoudl have did as a draft how ever the html mode published. Here is a link to a screenshot. of my posts window.

Good idea. I’m an idiot for not thinking that. but I can’t think of any plugin I have that would cause this. and none that could control emailing except for postie. I will when I have the time give the test a whirl though.

lol. I did not mean for my site to be a stress test for you. anyways, at least the data base side is working fine. Restoring that would be a pain if I ever needed to but yeah let me know via the forum what happens. and good luck and be blessed to all.

Hey just following up. What’s the status on the back up failing on this particular site? I don’t think it is the size as the faq I think ig I remember correctly said there was no size limit to worry about and it looks like my php memory is set high enough. I don’t want to se it too high as I’m on a shared server. lol!

it is in the user tab right after the roles of users that can post. I have that set to draft and that only works when it is set to plain text which is odd. I know this is an odd one but I’m glad I found out before I bulk published a lot of drafts thinking they were going to be drafts. Maybe it’s the way I’m sending the email although apple mail should not make a difference.
