In reply to: [FG Magento to WooCommerce] Custom Options and RedirectsOne final question relating to the redirects. I’m creating a staging development site before I migrate. When I do this, normally once I’m ready to migrate I do a replace and replace on the dev site domain and swap that for the live site domain. Do you have any recommendations to manage that process? I don’t want to mess up the redirects when I do the final search and replace.

In reply to: [FG Magento to WooCommerce] Custom Options and RedirectsHi Fred
Two more questions: Which plugin are you referring to for the redirects?
And given that I’m working on a live site, it is possible to import all of the products first then, when we are ready to launch import the customers and orders ie in two steps? Otherwise, the data won’t match the existing live site. Can you explain how I do that in any detail?
PS I have successfully imported the products with no real issues, but I haven’t imported the media yet, but the products imported fine, so providing I’m happy I will likely buy the premium version.

In reply to: [FG Magento to WooCommerce] Custom Options and RedirectsOK sounds good. Have you got any documentation about those two features, especially managing re-directs? I have looked on your website but I cannot see anything?

In reply to: [WooSidebars] Woosidebars not working on index.phpPS: I haven’t selected a Post or Pages default home page from the Reading options. So WP should just display index.php.
I have sorted this out myself.
To further expand upon my reasoning for not wanting to create multiple pages and irrespective of the number of page requirements.
I will need to put my proposed solution in place on all pages (x 20), so you can probably guess why I dont want to take the route of creating individual pages for each category/page instance and therefore some conditional code would be the ideal solution, at least that is my ideal world solution.
I hope that’s of some help…
But I dont want to create 20 templates, that’s the point…
So is it possible do to grab the category_id and then store it within a variable within the loop?
I’m using themed templates and not the classic or default. Sorry about the confusion.
Thanks
