Follow-up:

The error message at the top of the screen did not disappear after updating the plugin until I actually attempted to use a password-protected page. At that point, the message cleared.

I ripped out all of the short codes on the pages themselves for this plug-in and just used the little icon on the upper right of each page, changing them from Public to Password and entered a password.

It meant creating landing pages for password protected content rather than selecting certain portions of pages to protect, but easy enough of a work around.

Thanks for looking into this and getting it identified so quickly. I’m fine waiting for the update, there’s the workaround of putting on separate pages and that’s good enough for now.

The pairs of shortcodes are on their own pages now, so it’s functional until you can look into it.

Thing not understood:

I click the add file button.
I get a window to navigate to a file. I select the file.
The file selection window closes.

The file is not subsequently shown on the page for me to select it to be able to then click the File Up button.

Ok. Without changing the syntax of the first pair of short codes at all, just deleting the second set of shortcodes, the first pair worked completely as expected for upload, view, delete. No problems. So there is only one pair of shortcodes on the page now.

Going to create a 2nd page for the 2nd pair of uploads and test.

There also seems to be a problem after navigating to a file to upload it, it doesn’t list in a directory to File Up the first time. I must refresh the page and start over, then it shows, and then it uploads.

That’s more bugs at one time than I can handle. I’m going to put the pairs of short codes on separate pages for now.

Wow. There’s an indexing issue there somewhere.

testing just the first pair of fileup/fileaway codes:

Uploaded file A.
Attempted to delete A. -Fail
Renamed A to Ax. -Success
Attempted to delete A. –Success
Uploaded File B.
Attempted to delete file B. –Fail
Attempted to rename file B. File A’s name appeared during the rename.

edit: deleting after renaming B (which was named A) to Bxx worked.
I need to do more testing to repeat this issue.

I verified that subscribers cannot see the plug-in settings, but I still maintain that only users at the admin level should be able to see them, not contributors or anyone else.
