Now I have got access to my directories via ftp, I deleted all the plug in folder (after coping them to computer of course) made no difference!

Still staring at a white screen at https://www.markfrancombe.com/wordpress/wp-admin/ Not even getting the login box now.

Still not working. Now not on Chrome OR Safari. Just getting a white screen on

OK so it doesn’t work in Chrome for me, Safari was ok.
(EDIT_ spode too soon,after login in on Safari, I just get a white screen)
Anyone know why?
Plus IM getting Website not secure message…

I finally got around to try the above solution, but unfortunately it doesnt work.

I dont understand that when I disable the max-width entry using the Chrome inspect function, it works EXACTLY as I want.. However, this is of course only temporary, when I try to do it in the CSS it doesnt work.

Ok, check Users -> Your Profile in your site’s Dashboard, and make sure that “Disable the visual editor when writing” is *not* checked.

That was it!

I can see what you mean, but as yet, Im getting NO spammy posts at all… ok maybe one a year… of the “GREAT SITE” Type… but even those I don’t understand as they simply have an email address (no doubt fake) and not links.. maybe mistaken though…

I guess I will “disable registrations” to be honest Im not sure what that is anyhow!!!

As far as a) above is concerned, I looked but couldnt find the code you quoted, Im using twentyTen

and b) seems a bit too complex for me right now, but I found the part you are refering to so I will take a look.

Do you have any idea how I might implement a whole seperate blog page, as I mentioned? I have seen it done. It even shows up in the Dashboard menu with an extra pin icon.

Errr… Me too.. exactly the same number of bytes…
plus tried all fixes and the plugin mentioned…
