Problem solved. Issue had to do with a function inside my functions.php file.

JoeUPDATE: I totally removed Wordfence and replace htaccess file with original. Reinstalled it, and still same error. No other plugin is installed. Using WP 4.0, Wordfence v. 5.2.2.
I previous had WP Super Cache installed but deactivated it before installing Wordfence. It is completely deleted now, even the server files that get cached for WPSC in folder backup-db.
I can give you access to my site if need to take a look.

Thank you for your assistance. I did that, several times, but when I click Save, it gives me the same error.
