In reply to: premium theme for free?!There are lots of people that pirate themes and make them available for free. Some of them add malware or other types of negative functions to the theme. You’re probably better off buying the real thing, especially if you plan on your site making money anyway.

In reply to: Determination of Best Theme..Any HelpIf you have the WP login and password you can edit the stylesheet or change the theme from within. Generally speaking, all of the WP files you would need to change the look of your site are accessible through the WP back office located at yoursite.com/wp-admin/
Also, if you have have the login to your hosting account, you could get at the files from there as well.
Could you expound on what you mean by “freezing” one?

In reply to: Removing 'recent posts' without knowing codeUsually it’s just as simple as adding one line of code to your stylesheet under the right element. If you give the url to your site we can help you figure out what to do.

In reply to: Problems with adding template pageDid you try changing the template name where it says this:
<?php /* Template Name: Contact */ ?>
If you’ve done that, can you see the page in your WP back-end to edit? Does it show up in Appearance > Editor ?

In reply to: Static front page templateZaphan58,
You can call it anything you want as long as you put the following at the top of the .php page:
<?php /* Template Name: Snarfer */ ?>
You can check out the specifics here:

In reply to: which is best theme for wordpressHey navnatt,
Since you have a lot of content, you may want to go with a magazine-type theme. There are plenty of them for WordPress and many of them have WP 3.0 menus so that you can structure navigational drop downs however you would like. Here are several for you to check out
[ Affiliate laden web page link removed, try the WordPress repo instead. ]
Aperature would probably work well, or maybe Headlines. Let me know if what you think.

In reply to: Cutline Menu CustomizationIf that’s the case you will need to go to each individual page and place each page under a parent page (the pages you want in the navigation).
You can try this plugin to remove specific pages from the nav altogether

In reply to: Using a Team to Maintain/Develop a WordPress site?Have you used Titanium? It’s not WP specific, but it allows multiple users to login and work on files and alerts them if they are about to overwrite something that someone has been working with. While I haven’t done it myself, you can also plug it into GitHub. It’s free software.
If you figure out a better way, please post it. I’m working on something pretty similar.
