My host provider isolated the plugin for me. When they deactivated it, the problem went away. So, I deleted it for extra security.

The problem turned out to be a malicious fake plugin called “WordPress Editor”. I have no idea how it got installed, but deleting it solved the issue.

LOL, I like coffee! Siteground says it’s due to a plugin not being updated, so if I restore to a backup, the problem will start all over again. This really sucks

Figured it out – somehow I switched the page to being edited with my Divi theme, and that must conflict with the WooCommerce layout. Works now…

Ah, ok. I don’t have C-panel access. maybe I can ask GoDaddy to give that to me but since I don’t know how to use it, not sure it’s worth it?

Thanks! I deleted Jetpack, and oops, I forgot to download the plugin, so instead just clicked the button to install it, but it worked! Curiously, though, I do not see it listed in my Plugin folder on my FTP file manager, even though it is obviously there now?

I’m not sure about the PHP version manager – I see an index.php file, not familiar with where I would find this…

Update – the plugin issue is JETPACK! This is owned by WordPress? Here is the error –

I was able to fix the problem by ensuring the double-opt-in option was enabled. So, if a SPAM user signs up, they won’t make it to their list because they will never click the link sent to the email address they subscribed with.

I can’t remember if it was this plugin or another one – but I can tell you this solved the trouble and what a RELIEF because I had so many SPAM signups a day I couldn’t keep up…
