Does anybody possibly have any ideas on this at all?

I did post this in the WordPress trac ticket system as a bug to only be told that it’s not a bug as the person there could get it to work.

So whilst it might not be classed as a bug it is 100% definitely buggy!

I’ve now tried on 7 different hosting platforms all with different versions of PHP, MySQL and everything I can think of and not one of them am I able to disable the Heartbeat or even limit it!

I even got 3 other WordPress users to try and they couldn’t on their installs either.

I seriously can’t believe for one minute that myself and 3 other people on now over 12 different server types can be doing something that wrong!

There is definitely something afoot here and it seems like no-one wants to talk about it or address it.

Please if anyone has any information on this at all, even if just to say yes it works for me and this is how I did it then please please please do speak up as I’d really appreciate hearing from you on this.

    Thanks,

    Mark

Does anyone possibly know if those tables do indeed belong to the Stream plugin and :

1 – If they are okay to delete
    and
2 – If they should have deleted when I uninstalled the plugin?

    Thanks,

    Hiya,

Sorry for posting again in here but was just wondering if you’d possibly received the support mail I put through on your site?

I used the mail icon in the bottom right hand side of the page that you linked to. Hope that was the way you meant to contact you?

    Best wishes,

    Hi,

Many many thanks for the reply. I’ll go ahead and mark this as resolved and hit you up on the support link you provided. Looking forward to seeing how you have fixed this. Developers really are very very clever people. I wish I had your mind! ??

    Hi there,

Was just wondering if you’d possibly had a chance to look at this at all? I’d really really love to use this plugin on a site but this is causing issues at the moment.

I’d be really appreciative if it could be made to work as this is a simply fantastic plugin and although it is only a small problem it does make using the cart a little difficult for the end user.

Thank you in advance for any help with this as it is very much appreciated.

    Best wishes,

    Hi there,

Thank you so much for coming back to me so quickly. Sorry I hadn’t been able to reply but for some reason www.remarpro.com was not letting me login with my correct username and password. I seem to have to reset them every single time which is a complete pain.

I’ve attached an image here to show what I mean :

    Side Cart Problem

This was taken using the developer tools in Firefox Developer Edition but that same problem is indeed exhibited on mobile devices too. The top (header part) of the cart is showing up underneath the top-bar of the site and I’ve not been able to get it to appear above so far. I’ve tried z-index but can’t get it to work.

The URL of the site in question is https://77.104.171.192/~flyheli7

Many thanks for any help you may be able to give on this as it is much appreciated.

    Best wishes,

    Utterly fantastic!

    Thank you so much.

If I find anything else then I’ll be sure to let you know. I unfortunately seem to be good at bug finding ??

    Sorry ??

I think you’re going to hate me for this but if I visit the edit link in a profile such as :

    https://www.mysite.com/forums/user/myusername/edit/

The form to fill in for changing the user information is being thrown quite a way down the page. The word Name is at the top of the page area and then you need to scroll down the page quite a bit until you get to the form. Checking with web inspector and turning off the clear:both fixes the problem as does de-activating the plugin so I think perhaps that style may be affecting other things too?

I tried setting that section 11 setting to 1px instead but it still has the problem I’m afraid.

    Hi Robin,

Thank you so so much for doing that. Absolutely perfect. Worked as soon as I’d updated the plugin.

That’s really kind of you, thank you so much.

Do you mind me asking what it was that you fixed?

    Best wishes,

    Mark
