Mark Aqa

After several updates still no support for Latin extended fonts. I found Spectra as a great tool, but letters like ,,?, ?, ?, ?, ?, y, á, í, é,, are displayed correctly only with extra ,,Custom fonts,, plugin… (Using Montserrat font)

I finally found that turning off “File Generation” in Spectra settings solved the problem… However, disabling external CSS slows the page down… Any ideas please? THX!

Hello! Thank you for your response! I’m using Montserrat font family, also tried others fonts, which contain latin-extended characters, but still no effect.

I use the Spectra One theme and found that switching to the Astra theme removes the problem, so I assume that the problem is probably in the theme and in conflict with the Spectra plugin.

With Header and Footer Scripts it is working, but unfortunately when you click on sticky logo main logo comes up..

but I found a simple way, how to get different logo on small screen:

1) create a blank, transparent png logo and upload it to ,,Site title/tagline/logo,,

2) main logo: go to Custom CSS and add:

.site-logo {
    background-image: url('https://YOUR MAIN LOGO URL') !important;
    background-size:cover;
}

3) 2nd logo for small screen add:

@media only screen and (max-width: 1024px) {
    .site-logo {
    background-image: url('https://YOUR STICKY LOGO URL') !important;
    background-size:cover;
    }
}

– Tested, working on Mozilla, Chrome, Safari.

OK, if some one has same problem, I found a topic on: https://athemes.com/forums/topic/change-mobile-logo/

and it’s working! If you want to show different logo on iPads horizontaly, just change ,,768,, to ,,1024,,.

Sorry, just tested and it’s not working..

(could not provide website link – I’m on maitenance mode)

I tried to disable other plugins, removed custom css, so theme stays ,,clean,, but no effect..

I tried to add custom css with ,,@media only screen and… etc,,

background-image: url(“LOGO-IMAGE-URL”) !important;
background-size:cover;

new logo comes up, but the problem is, that sticky is showing both logos – 1st logo is in front and 2nd is as its background. Is it possible to do it that way? But how to hide the front logo..?

Sorry, don’t remeber and I am not using this theme anymore.. But I think it worked.

Or even try with Poedit.

If anyonne has a problem with menu and Polylan switcher I found a solution:

1. appearance >>?menu >> chose to edit ,,Language Menu,,

2. add ,,Language Switcher,, to menu

3. set for all languages

– ,,current,, class is not working, so current language is in result not highlited, but you can ,,hide current language,, so that’s OK..

PS: I found another issue:

Could not set current language (even with ,,current,, class) in Language Menu top bar.
The problem is, when I created two menus each for different languages, I think, that in my case theme supports only one ,,Language Menu,, style – when I switch to different language, all others custom links (EN, FR, DE) are showed as a bullet list. I am using Polylang plugin.

My question is: Is it possible to create menus like ,,Language Menu EN, Language Menu FR, etc.,, with custom links, and set each for different languages as a ,,primary Language Menu,, – so that style stays as original theme has?

Like that:

EN (current) FR DE

switch to FR:

FR (current) DE EN

switch to DE:

DE (currrent) EN FR

etc..

Hi, I didn’t mean it bad, I think Polylang is great plugin, I just thought it will be usefull for someone, who don’t want to waste time with fixing things or don’t have better skills with PHP editing.
