Honestly, I am not sure what happened here, but when I went to check the browser console (while I was on the blocking rule creation page), the blocking button suddenly worked (dark blue background). I guess we can close this thread then. However, in order to block a certain IP range in the new UI, one has to take an extra step and copy/paste the offending IP address in the IP Lookup tab, whereas before, one could simply click on the offending IP address and get directed to the IP info page directly. I wish we could have that back.
I believe the IP range was entered correctly, because it was selected automatically from within Wordfence (block network).
I’m sorry, but removing the blocking option from the main menu and stuffing it under the firewall menu is a very poor re-design, in my opinion. I used to access the blocking menu directly from the WF main menu. Now I have to make a detour first through the firewall menu to get to it.

In reply to: [Exploit Scanner] Latest MD5 and SHA1 hash values don't match upWhat are the values you get, and how are you generating those?
I run a scan, and at the bottom of the page the plugin shows me the MD5 and SHA1 hash codes of exploit-scanner.php and hashes-4.3.php. It shows me:
MD5 of exploit-scanner.php: 2e95cfccce6612d88d7cc21ab1e9385d
SHA1 of exploit-scanner.php: eca0fba4de4ccabff24b1f8466d9d0426408ac4e
MD5 of hashes-4.3.php: e79f0310fcffcc596af9bba13fd7b4e5
SHA1 of hashes-4.3.php: bc1487abeb54b0fd550aa3756c6eb9dda5180696
The plugin encourages users to compare these generated codes with the ones on the plugin website. When I do that, I discover that the MD5 and SHA1 of exploit-scanner.php do not match the codes on the plugin website.
From Enigma software:
Cdn.w55c.net is a questionable search provider website, which, at first sight, may look legitimate and trustworthy. However, if a computer user attempts to search for any keywords or phrases online by using Cdn.w55c.net, he won’t get any protected and reliable search results. Browser hijackers and adware connected with Cdn.w55c.net may result in constant browser redirects to suspicious websites that may display non-stop pop-up advertisements on the PC.
I find it extremely disturbing that Shareaholic (a plugin provider that I have thus far trusted) is now baking into their plugin references to shady adware/malware sites, which in turn may make visitors to my site question ME why I am enabling malware on my site. I have disabled the Shareaholic plugin on my website until Shareaholic addresses and modifies this situation to my satisfaction.
Yes, removing the .maintenance file from the root folder fixes the maintenance issue. However, trying to update the plugin afterwards results in the same outcome as described above: Server Error. Followed by the maintenance message again.
Internal Server Error. The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
When I then attempt to click on any other WP menu item afterwards, I get a blank page with the following sentence:
Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.

In reply to: [Plugin: Local Market Explorer] Page Link in Nav-barI am guessing that this would depend on the theme that you are using. If your theme has a header.php file, chances are that most or all of your site’s navigation is controlled from within that file. Simply locate where you’d like to place the link to LME in your header.php file (within a
