In reply to: Images no longer appear in email notifications of new blog postsHi George,
Thank you so much for your comments and the screen captures. I used to receive emails when someone began following my blog. No longer. And yes, I understand the difference between AWeber and other sign-ups. My website guru and I are now looking at Mail Optin and Mail Poet as options.
So I’m researching them at this point.

In reply to: Images no longer appear in email notifications of new blog postsHi George,
Thank you so much for going through those steps. You mentioned the SUBSCRIBE TO MY BLOG widget… Did you subscribe to my blog as well? I ask because I didn’t receive a notice to that affect and once upon a time, I DID receive emails when someone signed up for my blog. And once upon a time, images DID show up in email notifications that went out to subscribers.
Here’s what I’m thinking… in the past year I migrated my free, WordPress.com site to a self-hosted www.remarpro.com site. As you can see, things have changed and I’m not able to track down the problem sources.
I’m glad, by the way, that you enjoy the site!

In reply to: Images no longer appear in email notifications of new blog postsHi George,
Wow, I was not aware that WordPress does not automatically send emails out to subscribers when I post something new. For 10 years of posting and having emails sent to subscribers, I always thought it was WP.
So, to be honest, I don’t even know where to start looking.

In reply to: [Awesome Weather Widget] Widget not recognizing cityI can’t get it to recognize Kodiak, Alaska. For some reason it says we are enjoying 69-degree weather. In coastal Alaska? In the winter? Please help.

In reply to: [GeneratePress] Make header image flush with menu bar?Hi Tom, bravo for an excellent theme.
I, too, removed the bottom padding from the header area and it seems to work fine on my iMac, until I shrink the verticalness of the site (in Safari). Then the white space shows up below the background image for my header. Normal, I assume?
The bigger issue is when looking at my site on an iPhone (in Safari). The header image spans across the top just fine (in landscape and vertical mode of phone) but there is a large white gap before seeing the rest of the site.
My header image is 300×1100 pixels (same as container width)
My header width is set to 100% width
Header layout: Fluid/Full WidthHow can I remove the white gap so Nav bar and content cinches up to the header image?
Thanks so much, Marion
