I disactivate all the plugin of my web site and I found that Nextgen public uploader is the plugin that cause the 500 error when I activate the Photo contest plugin

-Zip files are already empty
-Effectively it is better to have all constest images in one folder, pictures are mixed with my website images, a solution is to have a settings for this.

Thank you for the answer, my goal was not to have support for this plugin but a better way to do the same thing and more with an other plugin compatible with NextGEN Gallery.

The setting was already to Ascending, I switched it to Descending and after returned to Ascenting. The problem concening singlepic display disapeared.

I have also the bug with french language, plus an other bug the shortcode
[singlepic id=1065 w= h= float=center] display already the same image, independently of the id number !

I deleted the two french file and the menu reappear but the singlepic short code give already the same picture.

I have php module that lists to me all modules and for openssl it give this to me:

An update of the JetPack arrived and the problem disapear?

I have the same error, when users upload image, any image, the “xxx.jpg is not a valid file” is displayed at the begining of the page, but the image is correctly uploaded. My user are worry and retry uploading file many times.

I also have jetpack activated.
If jetpack is not activated, we have no error.

I forget to give the version number of nextgen 1.9.6 wordpres 3.4.2
