In reply to: [NS Cloner - Site Copier] Timeout on Clone and empty blog site createdI have worked out this problem, and I’ll share the solution here in case it’s of use to others.
In the past year, our host SiteGround moved this multisite network to their new SiteToolks hosting panel (from cPanel). As a result of these moves to SiteGround, the absolute path to files on the server always changes. And we found that some older references in the wp_options table of the sites we were cloning from still referenced the OLD paths. By replacing these with the new paths in the database, the site now clones as expected.
Worth adding some error reporting in NS Cloner to handle these situations where the cloner can’t access the file path specified in the database?
Thanks
MarcusFixed in Gravity Forms 2.5.5 – released today
Thanks @ayvazovkristiyan – ceolas.co.uk
Do you have Gravity Forms installed, @algala ?
We are finding the same issue with Gravity Forms latest verion 2.5.4 and AIOSEO XML Sitemaps. Disabling Gravity Forms solves the issue.
Yes – we regularly find the same errors in the logs as @rmihaig on a number of sites the plugin runs on, using:
WordPress version 5.7.2
Current plugin: Post SMTP (version 2.0.22)
PHP version 7.3.28Can you advise?
Thanks
Hi – Any more news on this?
I see the same error using PHP 7.3. Presumably Post SMTP Mailer should support PHP version 7.3 by now?
Yeah absolutely @leichim
I was just starting to trust plugin updates to the auto-update process. This sort of behaviour from plugin developers means I’ll be cautioning against auto updates in future.
Plugins should be removed from the wp.org ecosystem for offering updates in bad faith.
Many thanks for your response, Jan

In reply to: [Block Lab] JSON error if templates loads the_excerpt();I’m seeing this issue too (though not linked to the Block Lab plugin). When adding the_excerpt to a Block template, we get the JSON error on saving/updating the post.
I wonder if it’s linked to another plugin – we’re running Polylang and ACF Pro, if that’s any help?
Best wishes

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Cannot Enable Block EditorThis issue still seems unresolved? Just spent best part of a day trying to figure out why events dates weren’t saving and events were generating 404 errors.
Came across this thread. Had to turn the “Activate Block Editor for Events” setting off and on in TEC to get Events to save, but still no Block Editor displaying.

I can confirm this issue. When using ACF plugin to generate Gutenberg Blocks, and inserting those blocks into a post/page and clicking “Publish” or “Update”, if the NextGEN plugin is also activated, the post fails to update, and shows the error:
“Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.”
This is on a single WP install, rather than multisite, so could be quite a common issue.
It would be good to know if there was a resolution to this issue?
Thanks
