I have created a staging and will test all the plugins being deactivated to see if it persists. I should be completed with that test by the end of the week.

The “Tag Settings” is from the theme. Those settings are for the tag page layout and customizing it.

When I assigned with quick edit, nothing happens. No error or update to the term.

When I assign using bulk edit, I get a confirmation stating “The term has been assigned to the group Companies.”

Though the term doesn’t actually update and shows “Not assigned” and doesn’t appear in the Companies group list I have set with a shortcode.

For reference on the day to day changes, I logged in and now some of those tags are showing that they are assigned correctly (which directly correlates to what shows in my shortcodes).

When I try to assign one of the tags, it does not update. Here is the example:

I have run the Maintenance in Tag Groups > Troubleshooting > First Aid, but didn’t see any difference. 0 tags were changed in the process.

Is there another cache option that I’m missing?

It is not an issue with the shortcode.

I have a tag group called “Regions”
You can see that I’ve filtered to only show the tags in that group, but they show as “Not Assigned”.

I actually was seeing them as assigned to Regions yesterday, but now they show “not assigned”. Yesterday, only 3 tags showed assigned to “Companies” with 38 tags showing “not assigned”, but today they are correct. That is bizarre to see that change from day to day.

Only a handful actually show the assigned tag group on the backend.
