My issue finally got fixed by deactivating and reinstalling many plugins, and updating to the new WP 3.5 version.
My problem (thumbnails not created in NextGen) is caused by the pluging “Justified Image Grid”. The developer is supposed to look at it for me, but haven’t get back to me yet with a solution.
debbiejames, I verified and, for me, the thumbnails are created when I upload an image into WP Media.
bradvader, I’ve tested your solution using bulk action to create new thumbnails, and it did not work.
I am pretty sure that it is a JQuery issue, and we may have multiple versions of it installed. However, I am not a programer and I don’t know how to resolve it. As mentioned, the developer of the plugin “Justified Image Grid” is looking at it and should email me back shortly. I will post when it will be resolved.
No worries Ntety !
There is two different issues here.
Ntety has an issue with the featured image, and it should not have been posted here, but rather in a new post.My issue was related to the creation of thumbnails when creating a new gallery. I deactivated the plugin “Justified Image Grid” which was the only new plugin I had installed recently, and created a new gallery, and the thumbnails were created without problems. So, I found what is causing the problem but don’t know how to fix it so I can continue to use the Justified Image Grid plugin and NextGen.
We may now consider the issue as resolved.
??Josh,
I’ve deleted the plugin and my site is back. I will reinstall fresh and it should be fine.
Thanks for the quick reply,
??Hello Josh,
The WPML Media which conflicts with NextGen Gallery is an important add-on to WPML making possible for example to duplicate the featured images into the translated page automatically. At the moment, and since the WPML Translation Editor does not provide control over the featured image, I can’t automatically nor manually transfer it to the other page. So, a solution to the conflict would be much appreciated. Thanks,
MarcelI think problems are solved.
1. Josh Lobe, the developer of Ultimate TinyMCE help me fixing the issue I had with the editor: there was a conflict between the WPML String Translation add-on and Ultimate TinyMCE.
2. As for NextGen Gallery, I deactivated the WPML Media add-on and it fixed the problem, so, there seems to have a conflict between the two.
