Hi Sue,
Thanks for the update. It sounds like cache might have been the culprit on the existing issue, but I can’t say for sure. If the problem surfaces again, let me know!

In reply to: [MapQuest Map Builder for WordPress] Mapquest Plugin blocks all popupsHi everyone,
We were able to track down an issue that would occur sporadically with the Map Builder plug-in not working properly in the tinyMCE editor. We’ve released a new patch today (1.0.4).
Hopefully that fixes the editor issue you all were seeing. If you are still seeing an issue, please let me know!

MapQuestHi noumaan,
We were able to track down an issue in the tinyMCE editor integration and I’ve uploaded version 1.0.4 to the WordPress repository.
Hopefully that fixes your issues in the menu!

MapQuestMap Builder 1.0.4 has just been uploaded to the WordPress system. You may have to clear cache to make sure the new JavaScript file gets loaded.
Let me know if that makes a difference on your issues!

MapQuestHi Sue,
Thanks for the additional information. We’re taking a look at some logs to see if we can spot any errors on our end.
I’ll be committing a fix today for the tinyMCE editor issues, and when I do I’m curious if that helps your issue as well.

Hi Sue!
Thanks for the follow-up information. I’ve been able able to reproduce the main issue that blondishnet was seeing originally. They may be related to yours as well, though I haven’t been able to exactly reproduce the white screen.
When building the map, can you tell me which, if any, of the following features you were using inside Map Builder?
* Custom icons (your own URL)
* Drawing shapes/polygons
* Adding text to map pin descriptions
* Adding photos to map pin descriptionsThanks for your help!

MapQuestHi Sue,
Can you provide me the browser you are using as well? I’ll set up a similar environment and try to reproduce the issues.
We do have an update scheduled to go out next week that addresses some issues, but I’ll see if I can reproduce yours in the current release.

MapQuestHi Nile,
I’d like to try and track down the issue you are seeing. It our test environments, the plugin is working works fine in WP 3.3.1.
I’d like to see if we can discover if it’s a theme or another plugin causing a conflict.
If you’d be willing to provide us a little information as to your environment, that would greatly help!

MapQuestHi noumaan,
We’ll be releasing a new update in the next couple of weeks. We’ve had very sporadic reports where the button has disappeared or not functioned, usually related to a conflict with another plugin or a theme. Would you mind sending me your WP version, active plugins and active theme to tools[at]mapquest[dot]com and I’ll try to recreate it on my end for our team to address?
Thanks!
Chip D
MapQuestHi nudolio,
I’m looking into your issue and trying to recreate it on one of my WordPress installations. Can you walk me through the steps where the error occurs?
I’m under the impression that installing the plug-in itself seems to be interfering with media uploads, is that correct?
Let me know and we’ll try to trace down the cause. Thanks!

In reply to: [MapQuest Map Builder for WordPress] static maps don't display anymoreHi there!
Are you still having the issue? Apologies for not seeing this post sooner, but please let me know if you are still having this problem.
We have made several updates to the plug-in recently to address various bugs for the BETA plug-in.
Thanks!

MQHi Jet,
Apologies for not seeing your post here sooner!
1) Custom pins – when you start adding pins to the map, click the pin that says “Change Me” next to the location in the list below the map. That will pull up a pin gallery as well as an option to use your own custom pin. Provide the URL for your custom pin, choose the anchor point and set your shadow option to on or off and you should be set!
2) Currently if you create maps via tools.mapquest.com on your account, you’ll have to use the embed code provided from that account to add it to your WordPress post/page. We have not yet provided a way to link your blog to your individual account.
3) We don’t currently provide a way to automatically list the locations under the site, but we are exploring a number options to correlate the on map information to content on the page for future releases!

MapQuestHi, there was an issue previously with the interactive map that would show the wrong location in the interactive map, but it should be working now for any location. Let me know if you are still having problems!

Hi, we did have a bug that caused the map to center improperly. It should be working now, but please let us know if you encounter any other issues!
