In reply to: putting smaller font size under the page title?thanks Lisa for your prompt reply! Yes, I gave up trying to do it the other way, it was just too clumsy and did not look very good.
I now have a reasonable popup created, but cannot figure out how to delay it by several seconds, as well as trim it to size?

In reply to: Resizing/adjusting tables with mouseJust for the above page right now but for any other task, that requires that I insert a mixture of graphics, payment gateway code like the example I gave. I take it you looked at that link? I want to keep it simple and neat and find tables do that quite well.
How would you use “divs” in my example to get the same effect at the link I provided?
Thanks!

In reply to: Captions problem in 4.9.2 still not fixed.I so appreciate your attention on this, my web guy has been awol lately and I have not been able to get him to do anything. And I do not have a clue about the “back end” of WP, I just write the newsletters. I will try again with him and if unsuccessful, how long might I wait until 4.9.3?
My theme is 2015 and just updated it so do not know if that comes under 2010 theme?

In reply to: Captions problem in 4.9.2 still not fixed.If you scrolled down to the picture I described (hippy) it shows how the text that was originally confined to the width of the picture, has expanded so that there is a big gap either side of it. This has occcurred through my whole website since 4.9.1 update. I do not have a trac ticket, where can I obtain one?
Thanks.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Caption problem still not fixed in 4.9.1Andrew – have you reported this problem to the software boffins for a fix in upcoming 4.9.2? If so, how long do you expect that to take? Thanks.

I had the same problem. Until there’s a patch, you can edit media.php in /wp-includes and change line 1566 from:
. do_shortcode( $content ) . '<figcaption class="wp-caption-text" >' . $atts['caption'] . '</figcaption></figure>';
to
. do_shortcode( $content ) . '<figcaption class="wp-caption-text" ' . $style . '>' . $atts['caption'] . '</figcaption></figure>';
By inserting $style in the caption, you are inserting the same max-width variable into figcaption that is used in figure. Previously, figcaption inherited the “width” attribute from figure, but it does not inherit the new “max-width” attribute from figure.

In reply to: Caption problem still not fixed in 4.9.1I thought it would have been obvious. Did you scroll down to where I instructed in my first email, at the link I supplied? If so, then you would see that the few lines of caption that were previously contained to a fairly narrow picture, has lost its boundary and created a wide space either side of the picture. Please scroll to where I directed and you will see, in only takes a few seconds and you will see immediately. This happens to every picture on my website where there is more than one line of caption.
Thanks.Forum: Fixing WordPress
