I think the difference were that we have the website in RTL while the WP Admin in LTR.

I’m facing the same problem. You can find the calendar at https://diamond-hotel.alexmansour.me/
There is two events in August 1 and 8, clicking on the event title points to 404 page.
An example of the event title link is ‘https://diamond-hotel.alexmansour.me/event/event-1/2016-08-01/’
We just updated the plugin recently and the issue still exists.
