In reply to: [GeneratePress] where can I view a demoand do you have a showcase of sites using GeneratePress?
I saw that to do what I want, i.e. to access my google drive backups of Updraft Plus, all I have to do is to click on Existing Backups, then to click on Rescan Remote Storage. So I did that that and a long list of backups showed up from as far back as September 2017, which was excellent, but then I had to leave suddenly so I simply exited the site and did absolutely nothing else. And now that I tried to rescan remote storage again, all that shows up in the list are the backups done today, and nothing else, after after repeating the task of re-scanning multiple times.
So what happened here, did simply exiting the website erase all my backups in the remote storage before today, or ??? Is there a way of getting them back??
This does not solve my situation, unfortunately. What I would like to do is to search my google drive for an Updraft Plus backup dated closest to the date my theme authors did a demo installation, since that would be the backup which has my most extensive db backup. So I am looking for a way to go through my Updraft Plus files in my google drive and to see them by date uploaded.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Restoring Backup Has No Effectand also, the site breaks after I restore even just a database backup, sections on the homepage and perhaps other pages too go missing.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Restoring Backup Has No Effectyes I did exactly that, and I stated above what happens, or does not happen, when following this process that you are suggesting now. Below is what I stated earlier,
If I restore from a backup file downloaded to my local computer, the backup has no effect because my site now uses https while the backup was created when my site was still using http. But if I restore from a backup file saved on the updraft dashboard, then it works, although I get a warning before the restore process.
The problem I now have is this. When I was about to restore a more complete database backup from the updraft dashboard, the file just disappeared, and I suspect that it was because I had increased the number of backups from 3 to 7. So now the backup file that I truly need to restore is no longer in the Updraft dashboard but is still in my local computer. So any solutions on how to restore this local backup?
so in other words, doing what you suggest now, which is exactly what I did earlier, will not work, because my site now uses https whereas the backup was created when the site was still using http

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Restoring Backup Has No Effectalso, restoring the backup from my local computer and not from the Updraft dashboard does not produce any kind of log, something for you to consider in case you want to provide an update to your Plugin

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Restoring Backup Has No EffectI found out what the problem is:

In reply to: [WP Mega Menu] Miscellaneousalso, what exactly does the feature Data Import mean?
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Max Mega Menu] Suggestions for Next Updateanother suggestion is to put a SAVE MENU tab beside each menu item, so that admin does not have to scroll all the way up to save changes, especially if saving is done after each menu item settings are changed. As it is now, it can also be very time consuming for those of us who have tons of menu items.
thanks.

In reply to: [Max Mega Menu] Suggestions for Next UpdateIt might also be a good idea to place a number before each item in the Menu Structure (not to appear on the front end of course) – that would indicate which level the menu item belongs to – that would surely help those, like me, with a lot of menu items.
thanks.

In reply to: [Max Mega Menu] Main Menu in All Capsbut then, why would the main menu be in all caps to begin with even if the theme author entered the item as Capitalized? Not sure what is going on.

In reply to: [Max Mega Menu] Main Menu in All CapsTom, did I get the problem fixed before posting the topic? No, of course not, if I got it fixed why would I still post the topic as that would be a terrible waste of time, yours and mine.
I am wondering if there is a lag between the time I delete the cache before the changes take effect, because that is the only possibility I can think of, since after I last deleted the cache, I then posted the topic after. Sorry for the trouble.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Merge Posts and WooCommerce category or tagnew to wordpress, so please bear with me, and kindly disregard my previous post as I am revising it here.
1) With Woocommerce installed, where is the correct place to add categories (and subcategories and products), is it
a) Dashboard > Posts > Categories
OR
b) Dashboard > WooCommerce > Products > Categories
2) Assuming that the theme author used option a, will that cause a conflict if I use option b to create and add more categories, subcategories, and products?
3) Is there a way to merge whatever was created and added using option a with all that was created and added using option b?
