ok, I don’t get it… I have the backup files except these 4 folders (I’m not even shure if they are relevant for this issue) and I replaced them via ftp.

In theory the page should work again, but it doesn’t.

Thanks for the hint! yes there is a Staging Plugin I know that now but this doesn’t help me right and doesn’t answer my question.

Is there a program or tool for restoring the older status without help from the host?

No, my misery startet when I overwrote genreal theme settings by importing a new demo… my general theme settings got overwritten, I panicked and pushed the button reset on the general settings menue for the header from the theme salient which made the page look like it is right now. Theme gone, no access to dashboard. It seems that button did more than just changing the header settings.
So I decided to exchange the wp files on my FTP Server with the old backupfiles that I had saved earlier that day.
It did not help. In addition the folders above are missing.

So there is no Tool or Plugin out there that has this function?
