  • I got the same issue after updating to Wp 5.8.1

disabled the JP plugin by writing -old infront of the jetbpack directory through file manager.

    The site was accessible again.

Tried installing the plugin from scratch, installing and activating the plugin doesnt do anything – however if you connect it with wordpress it crashes the whole site and get the same error.

I would think Jetpack has a known issue that got detected by the new wordpress feature resulting in this mess.

    Leaving jetpack uninstalled for now.

So I did some more searches and was able to find out what the problem was.

Apparatchik disconnecting and reconnecting gave my site a brand new id.

So I manually logged into the database and changed the new id to the old id. The starts are back and are functioning well and I hope that this is not a partial solution.

In the course of fixing this I noticed my wp.com account as well and it has many unnecessary links showing up.

How can the unwanted ones be cleaned out and delinked.
