In reply to: How to Exclude Page from Navigation Menu?If your theme allows for CUSTOM MENU, you can create a CUSTOM MENU and add only the pages you want to be available to everyone there. That way you can remove (or not add) whichever page you want to exclude.
With most CUSTOM MENUes, whenever you add a new page, it will automatically show on the navigation bar/menu.. just remember to remove it if you don’t want it to appear.

In reply to: Should everyone on the internet be able to edit my wordpress pages? If you still see it when you view your page, make sure you LOG OUT of your “ADMIN” account and view it like a user.. or better yet, view it on a different browser. The “EDIT” won’t be on your page for normal viewers.

In reply to: How to delete the standard 'home' tab in theme?I am using this template, too.
The way I put what I wanted at the top of the page for the menu was to create a CUSTOM MENU with the pages I wanted visible.
First create / name the custom menu (SAVE MENU).
Then using the list of pages listed on the left side, check off the ones you want to display. As you check them, they will show on the CUSTOM MENU list on the right. Once you have what you want on the menu, click on SAVE MENU and you’ll be all set.Remember tho that each new page you create will want to be included, and you’ll have to go back to the CUSTOM MENU and remove that page from it.
Hope this helps..

In reply to: [Silent Film] [Theme: Silent Film] Full-width frame? This article may help you..
wordpress-how-to/how-to-remove-a-wordpress-sidebar/
I wasn’t able to figure it out for my own particular theme (I’m using: world businessmen silhouette bue025 2.21 by LeadCamp, Inc).. but you might be able to do yours.
If anyone else has the “World Businessmen” theme and knows how to modify the Style.CSS to get a full page vs having a sidebar area, please let me know!
Good luck numismo!

In reply to: [Embed PDF] [Plugin: Embed PDF] Doesn't work for meNeither page is set to private. But the site probably is. I’ll change it when I get back to my home office.
Altho I have found another plugin that works, I would still like to figure out why this works on one and not the other.. for others who may be having the same issue. I’ll write when I have set the files viewable and maybe we can figure this out… since others are having similar issues.
Thanks

In reply to: [Embed PDF] [Plugin: Embed PDF] Doesn't work for meHere’s the page it’s on:
https://journals.globip.com/a-pdf-embed-test-page/
And here’s the link to the working page: (test site)
https://wp.mandepublications.com/testing-embed-pdf-f-iles/
It just shows the link to the PDF and not the GOOGLE part.
I have a few other plugins installed.. but can’t think of any that would interfere..
Thanks for the help!
I actually did a cut/paste from the working one to the non-working one, just in case I wrote it incorrectly.
Very puzzling…

In reply to: [Embed PDF] Dirty Suds Embed PDFMine works on my test site perfectly.. but not on my live site. Both are on different servers, so it must be a server issue as I have checked settings (compared the 2) and all seems to be the same.
I do have other plugins on the live site, but I wouldn’t think it would affect the EMBED since it is a media thing.
Does anyone have any ideas?
And as an addition comment.. I have checked both sites on CHROME and IE and FireFox.. The test site works.. the live site just shows a link.
I’m in the process of changing permissions on the LIVE site to (755) on everything (if it’s like that on the test site).. to see if something somewhere needed to be changed…

In reply to: [Embed PDF] [Plugin: Embed PDF] Doesn't work for mePat.. I have the same issue.
Thing is.. it works PERFECT on my test site but not on my live site (and both sites are on different servers BTW)
I used just the [embed]domainname.com/file.pdf[/embed] on both sites.
I have the box checked for AUTO EMBED in the media (thank you for reminding to check that)
Is there something else that we are missing? Both sites are using WP 3.2.1
Is there a file that needs different permissions to work? Which one would it be?
I’ll keep searching, but hopefully someone will know the answer soon!
Thanks
If you add “365” to the list of “days”, will it see it as 365 days?
I found the file (can’t remember off-hand which one it was) that had the number of days listed. I add “365” at the end and chose it, but of course I can’t tell if it made any difference.
BUT what I will do is put in there 40 days and keep track to see if it kept active after 31.. and if it did, at least that’ll be a workaround for now!
Maybe add a box for YEARS along with MONTHS DAYS HOURS etc. ??
Thanks!
Sorry Fourcecom. I had to play around with the user’s roles in order to view mine.
Good luck with what you finally came up with! ??
Fourcecom…
I found this topic of use:
I don’t think that fixing that in itself helped, but when I changed the roles of the person viewing it, I was then able to see it AND link over to the post that it created. But I think the fix found on that note should help.
Has a fix been found for this issue?
I just installed it and all I see in the “Large Calendar” is colored box in today’s date.
Thanks.

In reply to: Send back to original login pageI tried using a PAGE REDIRECT plugin, but it didn’t work very well. I also tried to put in “HOME”, but it took me to the home page of the site and not the welcome page of the logged in user.
I’m not sure what the logic should be in writing the link.
If I were to link “Return To Home” to “Welcome Page”, shouldn’t that bring me back to the logged in user’s welcome page?
I’m missing something and I’m not sure what it is.
Any help would be so appreciated!
Thanks!

In reply to: Don't want to display page name in address barThanks Fonglh and harmck for answering.
I did check the page security and even putting in names that I know other pages are did exactly that…. wouldn’t let them access them.
I do have the box under privacy checked to not have GOOGLE index it.. but I will take the extra step and put in the robots.txt as well.
Thanks again for your response!
