In reply to: Side menu to link to specific place on a page, HOW?Thanks WPyogi.. I see how that part works, and I will modify my page.
Now.. how would that be visible on the MENU below the page name of CONTENTS?
I don’t know if it makes a difference, but on the page CONTENTS there will be multiple places to be sent to. (sorry if verbage is incorrect)
So.. on the side menu it would read: (for example).
HOME
AUTHOR
CONTENTS
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 3
CONTACT US
PROFILEI now understand I will need to ID each “Chapter” so it can be linked to correctly.. just need to understand how this will get to be displayed on the side menu.
Thanks again for your assistance with this.

In reply to: Updated to 3.3.2 and now in MAINTENANCE modeOK.. now when I go to retry to update, it says I have the latest version.
I’m going to leave well enough alone, unless someone has a similar experience and there is something I need to do to rid that request to reinstall update.
Thank you for your patience.

In reply to: Updated to 3.3.2 and now in MAINTENANCE modeWell.. I knew if I asked for help, that it would fix itself and it did.
Guess the “minute” in the update is not quite a “minute” in real time.
I’m able to get back in, but I have notice that the “automated WP Update has failed”.
I’m afraid to try again. But I think I should.
Fingers crossed

In reply to: [The Welcomizer] [Plugin: The Welcomizer] From now on.I, for one, totally appreciate ANY developer’s dedication to a plugin, widget, theme or any other contribution to help make WP a great product.
I’m sorry if I offended you with my comment, but I was just taken aback slightly by your not wanting to have users ask their questions and voice their concerns here on the forum where it would help others too.
Good luck with the future developments, it can only get better, right? ??
thank you again for your wanting to make WP even better!

In reply to: [The Welcomizer] [Plugin: The Welcomizer] From now on.I’m sure you are not talking to me about “complaining for nothing”.
It was a statement to your statement, that’s all.
A forum is the best place for users of your product to be able to comment and ask questions. Other users most times find solutions which help the developer, such as yourself.
I by no means was complaining, but then again, if you construe the comment I made as a complaint.. well. And it’s a great idea that the developer be professional as it reflects upon your product.
good luck!

In reply to: [Page and Post Lister] [Page and Post Lister] Page Listener show nothingHas there been a resolution to this? I haven’t installed it, and I’d like to .. BUT if I have to redo ALL my permalinks (I have over 100 pages).. that won’t make me a happy camper!
I only have pages on my wordpress site, no posts.. so if it doesn’t list ages, then it’s not a good fit for me at this time.
The idea behind this is fantastic. It’s a total pain going thru over 10 pages to find the page with the page you want to edit!
Thanks again!

In reply to: [The Welcomizer] [Plugin: The Welcomizer] From now on.But won’t that defeat the purpose of this forum?
Ask questions, get answers, help many is what it’s all about, right?
Oh sorry..that was a question.
Hey Bill,
Just checking to see what your developers said about adding the number of days after 31, if it’ll work or not.
Would be perfect if it did.. Thanks!
Ahh.. OK Bill.. that makes sense and is awesome for the “This expires in 2 days” (or how many) from now.. or count down to launch (Hmmm..seems I heard that somewhere before).
Thanks for checking the 365 days. Fingers crossed it will because I need the page(s) to expire 1 year from 1st viewing. I know if I depend on me remembering (even with a calendar program) to go and remove that page from everyone’s list on different days next year, I for sure won’t remember!
I’ll wait to see what your developers say.. Maybe I’ll need to modify another file as well.. and that’s OK.. just let me know what I need to do!
Thanks agaiN!
I have a site that I created where USER1 would get his log in information and the first page he sees is HIS login page. And then he’ll be able to go to whichever pages I have listed on his page.
So that part of it I have working.. I can get the exact plugin I used if you need that.
Still thinking how to create USER1’s page and a USER2’s page and still allow for anyone to assign an event to them.
May need a “calendar” page of their own that will let them only see theirs somehow (I know..that’s what you’re trying to do.. just had to say it out loud, sorta! ?? )
I do have to apologize.. I AM familiar with it, in fact I’m using it, but as the CALENDAR.. (was thinking the plugin I was using had “calendar” in it’s name.. silly me!)..
Hmmm.. I get what you are trying to do and what a benefit .. So.. there needs to be a way to have the plugin display according to “assigned” field and not “own” field, right?
So what you are asking if it can do, would be greatly beneficial for anyone using this plugin..
OK.. I’m thinking of a way it might be done, but I have to figure out how to write it down legibly.. I’ll be back! ??
I’m not familiar with this plugin, but I’m wondering if there is a place in the code where it states who created this event. Meaning, if you as the admin create the event.. can you then go to that particular event and change the name of the “owner”? Is there such a place to do this on each event?
Sorry if this isn’t a solution, was just thinking of ways the “event” would document who “created” it.
And if this is a possibility, then this is certainly a plugin I may be interested in implementing!
Thanks Bill.
OK.. got the first 2 OK..
The last one “EVERYONE” will that mean that the page itself will expire in the allotted time frame. OR does it mean that if USER1 views it today it’ll expire in 30 days (for example).. and if USER2 views it next week, that’ll it’ll expire 30 days from THEN?
I do like having the expiration date.. need it to be more than 30 days.. I put 365 in the list of days, do you think it’ll expire in 365 days or will it not recognize that number of days?
Thanks again!
