In reply to: [WooCommerce] Matching Postcodes with Area name drop-down listHi again,
Sorry lots of replies ??
I tested it with one of the plugins. It works fine until I check the actual postcodes suggested by Google.. They’re wrong half the time. Google seems to know African zipcodes very poorly.
I deactivated it because with wrong postcodes we’d charge the wrong delivery fees.
How can I simply make a drop-down list to replace the postcode field, let users choose an area name and that’s it (the site links it to a zipcode in backend).
Thanks a lot again.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Matching Postcodes with Area name drop-down listI just checked something again, apparently these plugins also auto fill post codes!
I missed that the first time hah, I’m gonna try one then.
Thank you a lot!!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Matching Postcodes with Area name drop-down listHi Amanda,
Thanks a lot for your response. Unfortunately I have linked our delivery fees to user’s area postcode.
I need the user to choose an area name, and that area name to correspond to my already set postcodes/fees. Which is why I was thinking of a simple drop-down list (that I don’t know how to add to checkout).
Address autocomplete sounds great to help delivery persons, but I’ll still need something else for calculating shipping fees ??
Thank you!

Yes I find this kind of business to be complicated to make with this plugin… I’m kind of dissapointed because I have to launch so soon.
For the code you sent, I tried it. It does the same job as first code: Give vendor ability to cancel on front end, but nothing shows on the WCFM vendor app. Status doesn’t update ?? and mail isn’t sent to customer.
By the way I have disabled customer notes because they are sent in English to french speaking customers) and I made a custom email from woocommerce>settings>emails with the trigger ‘Cancelled order’. This custom email works when admin cancels order but it doesn’t when vendor cancels.
Thank you again
No customer can’t cancel order. Only vendor can (and admin if a vendor asks them).
This is common if food delivery, customer can’t cancel a meal that’s being prepared for them already.
Thanks and I really hope you can suggest something that solves my issue please
Hi,
Thanks for getting back. I added it in child theme’s function.php
