In reply to: Will pay money for themeYou know… and I will probably get bashed for chiming in on this but I’m honestly not sure I care…
The OP made a simple request. Granted, I know very well that $20 doesn’t get you much in web design. But why do people feel the need to be so rotten to this person about it? If you are not willing to honor the request, simply don’t post. Why is that so hard? In the time it takes to make fun of or laugh at this person, you could be doing something productive.
Kudos to those that posted something to at least send this person in the right direction for help.

In reply to: upgrading 1.2 -> 1.5, comments not displayingI don’t know if this will fix your problem or not but when I have had this happen, I simply had to re-upload the comments.php file and things worked again. Not sure why but I didn’t want to argue. LOL

In reply to: Making Users Register Before they can Post CommentsWhen you log into your admin panel (1.5 Strayhorn), click on options and it should be there on the first page, General Options. There should be a section entitled Membership and there should be two check boxes. One for “Anyone can Register” and one for “Users must be registered and logged in to comment”.

In reply to: Password Protected Entries – Any progress? In previous installs, I used to have that problem. But do not have any problems in 1.5. In the past, I believe it was a cookie issue and if I clicked on the permalink for the post after the page refreshed, I was taken to the entry. Does that work for any of you? I know it may not be ideal but it worked for me at least. Sorry I can’t be of any more help than that.

In reply to: www.tigerspice.com spamI, too, have Spam Karma set to normal. It took care of every spam attempt, banned the slime ball, and now I am sitting pretty until a new one comes along. ??

In reply to: www.tigerspice.com spamI have been hit by tiger$pice pretty hard lately. Spam Karma has stopped it all. Definitely consider installing it. It is well worth the short time it takes to install. ??

In reply to: Why did YOU choose WordPress?I have used a number of tools in the past to include Blogger, Greymatter, and MT. All served their purpose but with Greymatter and MT, the constant rebuilding of pages everytime I had to make one tiny little adjustment was becoming tiresome. I then switched to pMachine. Liked it a lot but development was slow to non-existent (at the time at least). A good friend got me into trying WP and I have been with it ever since. Customizing is a breeze and it was easy to learn. Gotta love it!
