Thanks, poetrybattles. I’ve followed your advice and discovered some bizarre thing: I deleted the file gd-system-plugin.php from the mu-plugins folder, that corrected the error right away, BUT in a few hours, error returned because the deleted previously file miraculously appeared in the same folder again!

Then, I tried to move this php file out of the mu-plugins folder to a different directory. And again everything was perfect after that but in an hour, this file again was somehow regenerated in the mu-plugins folder, and error returned.

Does anyone know what’s going on here?? Is it actually possible to kill this file? How come it’s coming back to the folder it was deleted from?

oh, and my message says this:

This manually updating sounds quite complicated but I’m planning to do it.

For now, I have a mystery on my hands:

why can I ONLY login to the admin panel on my laptop
but attempts to login on other computers are futile and consistently end in Error 429? Any ideas?

I did everything you’ve suggested unfortunately the problem persists. I don’t think there’s a conflict between plugins and a theme because there wasn’t any updates recently, and I never had a problem logging in before.

Any other ideas?

Hi, I started having the similar problem with error 429 and my site is also hosted by godaddy. Did you get it resolved with them? Were you able to login?

If you have some kind of ad block in your browser, it blocks the visual editor. I have AdBlock in the Firefox browser, so I can only use the text editor in the Firefox, but can use both the visual and the text in the Explorer.
