I can confirm this. It seems to be a bug.

The plugin is sending the CSS as text/html mime type rather than text/css despite setting a content type of text/css with the php header() function. Browsers are then blocking the loading of the css.

I can confirm these symptoms.

As a quick fix I temporary switched to another, similar plugin called “Custom CSS and Javascript” by “Potent Plugins”.

Very weird. After noticing I contacted my ISP regarding that problem and he told me that it seems to be not working for the whole AS.

Now (right before the creation of this post) it worked again.

I experienced the same problem, wrote to the mailinglist and got told in a rude way that it was me causing that problem by sending the same answer twice, which was not true. Glad I am not the only one experiencing problems with the forums.

Apart from that I would be also interested in what exactly that syncAttackData is doing. I noticed a strange pattern where the excessive sync is happening for users that are over-quota so the script cant write anymore and retries over and over.

I would like to know if there are other known issues like that.

I am asking because I noticed some customers using latest WP (4.5.3), latest WF (6.1.10) causing an incredible amount of curl-Requests after “/?wordfence_syncAttackData” is called (which happens 6-8 times a second). (Not joking.)

Alright. I got the faulty plugin.

Its called:

“WooCommerce Product Archive Customiser”

Maybe, for some reason, its not even a bug (judging from the name) but a feature to hide those thumbnails. But since there was no need for the plugin, i will just uninstall it and be happy.

I disabled all plugins and its working. I will now try to figure out which plugin is causing this.

I will report back here if its done.
