Thank you so much!

My website was in my original post at the top: https://maitrilibellule.com
and I keep reading what everyone is writing but when I go to my IG settings I can’t even see anywhere it says “Advanced?”
I’m just about ready to take this plug in off my site. I don’t have the time, technical skills or energy to mess with a lot of hoo ha. I have had this plug in for some time and it always worked perfectly. if this many people are having this much trouble I think you need to do some kind of emergency fix or roll it back to the last version which worked for people until you can figure something out.

Thank you.
No I created a widget for it using custom html. I did this a long time ago and as I said it has worked for a long time through yesterday morning. Somewhere during the day it just stopped and I hadn’t done anything, nor done any work on the site. It is not a plugin nor a feature of my theme which is an older theme, “Prose” on Genesis framework, but which works fine for me in every way and I have never had a problem with it. It just simply stopped working altogether?
It is a javascript, small bit of text, from https://www.websiteout.net/counter.php
Thank you for your help.

In reply to: Formatting Problems Since Recent Update!I did clear my cache, one of the first things I tried. Can you tell me how I might be able to get help from someone with updating or changing my theme for free? As I said I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and I have been doing this blog for 13 years and I have never had any problem (I’ve used Prose since 2013) at all until last night’s update went through. I don’t have the money to pay for any major site changes and this blog is my world and followed by many. I am so upset about this I don’t know what to do.

In reply to: Formatting Problems Since Recent Update!Steve,
I will check into that but the point is that yesterday everything worked perfectly until the 5.3 update went through and it has caused ALL kinds of problems for many of us. I am a disabled senior citizen on a fixed income and I cannot pay for any theme updates which haven’t been necessary before this latest update. This is not fair. When things are working well why does WP keep updating so often causing so many problems for people. Can we revert to a previous version of WordPress, or go to a free theme? I am very upset and worried about this and I don’t know what to do

In reply to: Something weird has happened in the comments section? One other question, if I do switch templates do you know of one that has emojis and allows readers to upload a picture? The current one doesn’t and my people would like to be able to share pictures of like their gardens and pets and such.
Thank you,
Maitri

In reply to: Something weird has happened in the comments section?Thank you so much for your helpful suggestions. For one thing, as I said to @t-p, I get regular notices of updates for the plugin for Genesis and I always do the updates to keep things current. I had one just days ago and the problem arose after the update.
I wouldn’t begin to know how to mess with the template and I’d be afraid to try! As I asked t-p if you think I should change the template can you suggest one that would be easy to install and use?
Thanks so much!

In reply to: Something weird has happened in the comments section?Thank you so much for your help but this is really confusing to me because I always do the updates for everything when they show up and I swear to you I regularly get updates for Genesis, I had one just the other day and then this problem started happening? And yesterday was really weird because instead of what I stated above that at the top of the comment it would say, like, “https://Maitri” MOST of the comments came through like that but a couple came through and just said “says” at the top without even a name! Then it went back to the https://name. Not having a name is problem. It just happens that the 2 that came through are regular commenters and their picture showed up so I know who they are but my blog has been going since 2007 with almost 2 million hits and I have a lot of followers, I blog daily except for weekends, and sometimes I get a lot of comments, which I always answer, and people will comment that I’ve never seen before and if their name doesn’t show up I’m stumped!
I so appreciate your help. I have always done my own websites in a WYSIWYG sort of way but in 2013 I paid someone to set this one up because I had been on Blogger, I wanted the whole blog and all the posts moved to WordPress and didn’t know how to do that, and it was already a big blog by then. I have taken care of the site since then but the woman I hired installed Genesis. If you think I should change my theme can you suggest one that is easy to use?
Thanks so much. I love WordPress and have never had problems like this since I started and the commnets section of my blog is active and important. I help a lot of people and I want to be able to answer them properly.

In reply to: This new version of WordPress is a nightmare!!!One of the big problems that I am having is that I have always, for 12 years with this blog, listed “Categories” or Tags with my blogs. I had a ton of them there and would check them or create new ones and when I publish my posts now at the bottom it always says “File: Uncategorized”??? I click on categories or tags (Now I can’t remember whether it should be categories or tags???) on the side bar when I am creating the posts and the menu, most of the time, doesn’t open up. A couple of times it did but it still did not save the options I chose. I have a long time blog with a loyal following and this is a real problem. HELP!!!!!

In reply to: This new version of WordPress is a nightmare!!!I don’t know why they did something this radical, I don’t like it at all. And I don’t like having to mess with plugins especially since people have tried it and it’s not the same as it used to be. This was a BAD move on WordPress’s part! I’m very upset about it.

In reply to: This new version of WordPress is a nightmare!!!Samuel,
I appreciate your help but following your link when I go under Settings, and Writing Settings, nothing comes up that gives me the option to select “Classic Editor.” I see it on your sample page but it does not show up at all like that as an option on my site. I can’t seem to get back to the classic editor. I swear I will go back to Blogger before I will deal with this new editor and my blog has existed since 2007. This new editor is a nightmare!

In reply to: This new version of WordPress is a nightmare!!!Thank you. I will definitely go back to the old editor. This new one is simply awful, difficult to use, and when I “Save” as I go along (I blog daily and have a large loyal following and have never had any problems until this update) I lose things. The blog title, there after the last Save, has disappeared, and so on. This is awful. Please take all these “blocks” and so on away and give up back the editor that works!!!!

In reply to: [Native Emoji] CommentsHello,
I just installed the plugin. It shows up for posts but while it does show up in the comments box it is at the very bottom right corner and is not usable. It won’t open up so you can see and use the emojis? You can see it there but it just won’t open. The comment section is the main reason I installed this plugin and it is not usable. Help! I am on WP 4.9.4.
