In reply to: [MailUp newsletter sign-up form] Generic Error after submitHi Vincenzo,
It is likely that your actual IP address is not the one you added when enabling IP authentication.
Any submit attempt from an unauthorized IPs is logged here:- ENG: Settings/Advanced settings/Developer’s corner /Troubleshooting/Email
- ITA: Configurazioni/Opzioni avanzate/Opzioni sviluppatore /Manutenzione/Email
In addition, if you want to be sure the problem is in the IP validation, you could temporarily disable it.
Hope this helps

In reply to: [MailUp newsletter sign-up form] Track languages of the siteHi Maurizio,
I’m afraid but the plugin is not supporting your request right now.
As a workaround, you could evaluate one of the following alternatives:- replace the plugin with a link to an external form directly hosted by MailUp. MailUp forms (see List building tools) are much more powerful
- add a mandatory field and ask the user to specify the country code (e.g. IT, FR, DE, US, UK, ES, …). The instructions about how to fill in that field could be given by the text of the correspondent label. Then you can use “filters” on MailUp to split subscribers by country code
We understand that this is not exactly what you asked.
Your request is really interesting and I’m adding it to the list of possible future enhancements. ThanksKind regards

In reply to: [MailUp newsletter sign-up form] Generic Error – IP authHi byfede80,
A generic error could be returned in one of these cases:- one of the additional fields is the phone number and you are inserting a value mismatch (e.g. you’re inserting a phone number together with an email address that was previously linked to a different mobile number). You could access to the web application and “delete” old test recipients. This may help you to start from a clean situation
- you’re not following the “campoXY” syntax. Reference: https://help.mailup.com/display/mailupUserGuide/WordPress#WordPress-PersonalDataFields
If none of these tips is helpful for you, I suggest you to take some screenshots of your configuration and send them to MailUp support for help.
Best,

In reply to: [MailUp newsletter sign-up form] Generic Error – IP authHi byfede80,
Here are some troubleshooting tips:
1) if you temporarily uncheck “IP Address Validation” you should successfully complete the subscription. If you are still receiving the error you reported above please double check the second comment in this page, otherwise contact MailUp support.
2) then add your server’s IP, check “IP Address Validation” and finally press “save”. The subscription will be allowed only to calls coming from that IP.
3) If step #2 is successful you’re done, otherwise it should be something related to an outcoming IP that is actually different from the specified one. If this is the case, could you please contact the MailUp support providing your host name and the IP address you specified on that page?

In reply to: [MailUp newsletter sign-up form] Mail Up console hostHi, sorry for the late reply.
You can have a look at https://help.mailup.com/display/mailupUserGuide/WordPress#WordPress-ConnectingWordPresstoMailUp.
When using a MailUp account with URL https://abcd.sp09.it/console/default.aspx, the expected format for “console host” field is “abcd.sp09.it”Likewise, you should set h1e2f.mailupclient.com if your account is https://h1e2f.mailupclient.com/console/default.aspx
