OK! I’ve fixed it!
I was using [is_category] instead of [is_archive], which called the wrong template.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for pointing me in the right direction with the query object. This was driving me crazy!
Disregard the last post, that was the archive for the custom post type.
All of the categories for the custom post type are showing all of the businesses. But it looks like the query is returning the correct businesses. But it’s not displaying correctly.

I’m having the same issue with WP 3.9.1 Multisite enabled with RPR 3.9.10. I am a super admin and have network enabled RPR.
I can access some Settings at

The Solution: wp_blogs!
With so many tables in multisite that kind of seem to be doing the same thing (a wp_options for each site within the multisite, wp_site, wp_blogs), we weren’t sure which one would be the magic place to add WWW. As it turns out, the answer was to add WWW to the url in ”domain” in the wp_blogs table!Otherwise, you could add this in your .htaccess file for each domain:

I asked about the files because I have used other themes that had nested php files that I was able to change via the child theme. ??

I can see it in the HTML, but I still can’t see it on the page. When I inspect the element, I can see that it is being placed on the very top of the header. I can’t see what’s overwriting the placement.

I realize now that I mistakenly thought that simply removing the text-shadow declaration line would fix it, but I actually had to change it to 0 pixels and match the color of the text to make it go away.
So
text-shadow: 0 1px 0 white;became
text-shadow: 0 0 0 #777777;
