I did more research and a lot of test transaction to further understand the problem.

I tried both most popular Stripe plugins:

Payment Plugins for Stripe WooCommerce.
WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway (official version of WooCommerce).

Both have the same behavior when doing payments with Apple Pay.

For example I live in Mexico so the native currency of my bank account and credit card is Mexican peso so if the currency of my WooCommerce Store is Mexican peso, payments work well in both plugins.

But when I change my store currency to USD, both plugins stop getting Apple Pay payments from my credit card, It does not show any error message, what happens is that after double pressing the lateral button on the iPhone to confirm the payment the Apple Pay “loading” animation appears, spins for a few seconds and then all the Apple Pay interface goes away without doing anything and I end back in the cart page or any page where I was before clicking the Apple Pay button.

What is weird to me is that I have paid dozens of times in USD in other Websites that support Apple Pay with my same credit cards and have no issues. Although I don’t know if those websites use WooCommerce or Stripe.

I am also sure that my Stripe account is capable of charging in USD because regular credit/debit card payments work well in both plugins with both currencies.

Then I started to test payments with a Stripe link generated directly from the Stripe Dashboard in USD and I experienced the same issue with the Apple Pay option, this makes me think that maybe you are right and this problem is on Stripe side, I just don’t know how other websites manage this with no problems and in the case of WooCommerce Store owners are limited to only accept Apple Pay for those customers whom bank accounts are in the same currency as the Store.

Maybe I have to make some configuration on my Stripe account, if someone knows something about it, please let me know. I hope this can be fixed soon either by Stripe or Plugin Developers.

I Also have done payments with Apple Pay in other websites with other currencies using the same credit card that I used for testing the plugin in my site and I had no problems in those websites.
