Thanks Andrea, the thing is, we have just moved to a dedicated server so we ARE the host, but we are still learning how it all works and have no idea what to change and where.. do you know by any chance?
And, come to think of it, we moved servers AFTER this error (the week of 22nd of March 2011).. so I guess since then we have had no errors in the error log concerning RSS…

it’s hard to see where it starts, so opened it word where its not just one blog of letters. If it starts at the date, until the next date, it is quite a long drag, but here it goes, this is the most recent error which has rss in it (I did cntr + F and searched for rss)

Thanks for your reply. I have had a look at my error log in notepad, but it all looks like jibba jabba to me, there are some mentions of rss, but I do not know what they mean and if they are related to this issue or the generation of my own rss. How am I supposed to view my error log?

If you go to default blog installation instructions, it says at step number 3:’ Activate the plugin Site Wide through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress’
Therefore you will find the settings under Tools/Default Blog under Site Admin and after configuring, it works like a dream!

no no no no, carenthusiast.co.uk is not my website, driverszone.co.uk is. I want to show RSS news feeds from other websites such as carenthusiast and other car related websites in my sidebar! Is this why it is not working, can I only show RSS feeds from a wordpress site or my own wordpress site?

You should find the settings if you go to Site Admin, then Tools/Default Blog on the left hand side. Although I have to say I have not fully managed to get it to work yet- only installed it today though

Yes I am using custom menus, but the blog page will still display the ‘driverszone blog’ but linking it to the root.. I do want to keep this page as it displays all site wide blogs. Is there any way to change where it links to?

Edit: There is one thing not working though.. the main site’s blog “Driverszone” is linking to the root which is not where the blog posts are. I added a new page driverszone-blog and in the reading settings changed the post page from ‘none’ to the new page. They now do display on the new page, but how can I get the main site’s blog (‘Driverszone’ on this page) to link to it too?
